MEINLi lainetrummiga lood merelainete helisid. Terasest väikesed pallid on kahe trumminaha vahel lõksus, millest üks trumminahk on kitsenahast ning teine trumminahk on kunstnahast. Kaks erinevat materjali tähendavad mängija jaoks kahte erinevat heli, mille vahel valida. Lisaks saab suletava täiteava kaudu kuulikesi vähemaks võtta või juurde lisada.
