Its visually stunning vintage gold finish makes a statement before you even play it. At 22” in diameter, this handpan is tuned to the popular D Kurd scale (A4/a' 440 Hz) with 10 notes. Anyone can enjoy its relaxing sound and create music with no prior skill because each note complements all others, meaning you can hit no wrong notes. The root note is in the center with the rest of the scale surrounding it in nine-pitch fields that produce a pure, calming, and resonant sound. On the underside of our Sensory Handpan are two sound holes that face outward in opposite directions to provide a completely immersive sound effect for both the player and listeners. Included with all Sensory Handpans are two removable sound tubes that allow you to alter the tonal qualities of the instrument. The longer tube is placed in the sound hole facing the lower pitches of the handpan, and the shorter tube faces the higher pitches. The immersive effect of this handpan makes it perfect for sound healing retreats, sound baths, meditation or to calm your mind in the morning or at night before sleep.
